**An Inspiring Day of Speaking, Celebrating, and Connecting**

What an incredible day it was!

I had the pleasure of speaking at the *Mad World Festival* on psychological safety, sharing the stage with the brilliant Paul Davison, Jude Cragg, and Sharon Blackman OBE, on a panel expertly coordinated by Richard Martin. It was also fantastic to catch up with my colleague at The Carvalho Consultancy (TCC), William Dawson.

The day continued at the *Illinois State Bar Association Conference*, hosted by Kingsley Napley. I was honoured to speak alongside Ruth Kraus and Louis Kraus about my work in supporting family lawyers. A heartfelt thank you to Will MacFarlane for the kind invitation and for bringing such an inspiring group together.

The perfect end to the day? A wonderful celebration at the *National Portrait Gallery* for the amazing Sharon Segal KC, marking her achievement of taking silk. It was a joy to be surrounded by so many lovely family lawyers, including the fantastic team from Farrer & Co: Rose Spencer-Longhurst, Flora Harragin, Sarah Hutchinson, and Claire Gordon.

And can I just say, any party featuring a string quartet playing Victoria Wood’s *“The Ballad of Freda and Barry (Let’s Do It)”* is absolutely my kind of event!

Heading back up north now, reflecting on so many happy memories from today. And, as always, wishing I’d taken more photos!
