Are you a pro bono lawyer?

Or are you someone who manages pro bono lawyers?

Are you working in an ethical way?

Are you fortifying your lawyers with the skills and coping mechanisms they really need to do this important work?

Talk to us at The Carvalho Consultancy if you need support with this.

Here at TCC we’re proud to be celebrating National Pro Bono Week.

We’re living through some horrible times at the moment and that makes Pro Bono more important than ever before.

It’s vital though that law firms protect and fortify their pro bono teams. And ensure they’re working ethically in this field.

How?

Well, through training in how to communicate with people in distress and how to look after themselves in the process.

And by having therapeutic support at hand for when times get really tough.

At times we all see things that we wish we could unsee. Or hear or read things we wish we could dislodge from our brains.

And therapeutic support can be vital in downloading that stuff and taking the edge off some of those difficult feelings.

At TCC, we are therapists and trainers who support lawyers and law firms with their pro bono work.

As former lawyers ourselves, we’re ideally placed to do so, combining deep psychological understanding with practical suggestions and experience.

We’ve partnered with many firms who are committed to practising pro bono in this psychologically-informed way, including recently Simmons & Simmons via Laura Jones and Jessica Duxbury, providing both live in-person training and a pre-recorded session for pro bono volunteers. So volunteers can watch the training when it suits them!

If you’re interested in this training, get in touch on info@carvalhotherapy.com.

And in the meantime, have a good National Pro Bono Week 2023!
