Q Is there anything better in life than a flat Northern vowel??

A of course not, it’s a rhetorical question

Enjoying getting my full ⁦‪⁦‪Maximo Park‬⁩ on this morning travelling Transpennine to speak at the #LFJBConference2023 organised by ⁦‪⁦‪Crown Chambers

Last time I was at the Hull ⁦‪DoubleTree by Hilton it was the lovely Lexington Avenue club complete with revolving dancefloor 20 odd years ago with Ruth Allen (née Sander) and Emma Menmuir. Oh what a night!

Naturally of course my presentation on the psychology of law today has a dance theme. But fear not, I won’t be inflicting my moves on the crowd

I guess the psychology I’m talking about *is* a sort of dance – between ourselves as family practitioners, our clients, our counterparts.

Because when I talk about the psychology of law, it’s not all about THEM. It’s about US too!

But please ignore my (slightly aggressive) capital letters. This is nothing to be afraid of!

Freedom lies in understanding ourselves better as family practitioners. What gets to us. What really grinds our gears. And why that is.

Hope to see some friendly faces (and to hear some flat Northern vowels) today!
