We don’t just train family 👩‍👩‍👦‍👦 lawyers!

Over the last few years, we’ve provided training to thousands of professionals, including:

Teachers 👩‍🏫
Legacy officers 👱🏿‍♂️
Corporate lawyers 🧑
Private client lawyers 👩🏾
Pro bono lawyers 🧑🏽
HR professionals 🧑🏻

…to name but a few…

So we are excited to return to Oxford next month for the Industrial Law Society’s annual conference where Annmarie will be speaking about ‘how to work with vulnerable people and take care of yourself’.

The Carvalho Consultancy’s training on working with vulnerability (sadly) became more and more popular during the pandemic 😷 as all of us human beings began to struggle more and more with the difficult times that we were living through.

These principles of trauma-informed and psychologically attuned practice apply to professionals from all areas.

In fact, we think there’s a lot to be said for the ‘universal precautions’ philosophy ie that it can be helpful to operate on the basis that any and all of our clients are likely to be vulnerable in some way. And that these techniques and approaches can be useful with any client.

It isn’t about infantilising/patronising clients or talking iiinnnn a veeeerrrrry slooooow voooooiiiiccceeee….

It’s about acknowledging how stress and trauma affects the brain 🧠 and our ability to take in, retain and process information.

And adjusting how we work with people accordingly.

We’ll be discussing these principles and how we apply them in real-world employment law situations.

We’ll also be looking at how you look after your own mental health while doing so.

We can’t wait!
