Bit of an overstatement? Maybe.

But there’s no denying that many family lawyers are fascinated by the psychology of what they do, of the dynamics of human relationships and by what lies beneath the surface.

Sometimes I think life is a series of swapping one frustration for another. So these days I am no longer a lawyer who’s a frustrated therapist, but a therapist who is a frustrated writer.

And I was thrilled to be asked by Esther Pilger and Resolution to provide a regular column for The Review magazine talking about the psychology of family practice.
